GIANT | First Piece of 2010!

"Hooked this one up on January 1st. Like the new style? You can see it for yourself at Leavenworth and Ellis here in SF. Just watch out for all the crackheads and poop. Thanks for the paint, Ironlak!" -MIKE GIANT

GIANT | Another Piece in the Mission.

"Hooked up with my man Daniel to paint some garage doors on 15th Street this afternoon. First Francisco and Daniel taped off the spaces between the garage doors so the finished pieces would look super clean. Then I got the ball rolling with a rough outline of my name, then started filling in the letterforms."

GIANT | My First Legal Box Truck.

"I’ve been writing 'Giant' for 20 years now, and yesterday was the first time I painted a box truck with permission of the owner. After all these years of painting trucks like this in the dark, it sure was great to be able to take my time and hook one up without hassle in broad daylight. I feel like I’m cashing in some dues I paid over the years. It’s rad."

Mike Giant | Bad-Ass Birthday Weekend!

Happy belated birthday Mike! Glad you are feeling the Ironlak!

"Sure was a good one! I got to paint again Saturday morning.

My man Andres came through with the permission spot for me. Thanks, homie. It’s nice to be able to paint some walls without trippin’ on the cops.

Weird style, I know. But I gotta keep it fresh and spontaneous. Namean? And big up to Ironlak paint! I’m almost out…" -GIANT.

Here's another one Giant rocked for his birthday: "38 Years Livin', 20 Years Bombin'"

"I’ve been writing “Giant” on walls for 20 years now and it still feels great. This one is on Caledonia Alley near 15th Street here in sunny San Francisco. Check it, but watch out for the crackheads!"

Mike Giant x Ironlak

Our homie Mike Giant in San Francisco just posted a dope blog post about Ironlak. Thanks Mike!

Here's the story in his words:
"A few weeks ago, I got a bunch of Ironlak paint from my buddy Luke in Australia. I’d been saving it for a nice daytime wall here in the City, and I finally had a chance to try it out on Sunday. My roommate Ronny got permission to paint the side wall of a (really good) pizza spot at the corner of Dubose and Valencia. Right across the street from Zeitgeist. So I packed up 18 cans in my basket and got to it!"

"I got my piece done pretty quickly, and snapped this shot as Keb and Buter were still finishing their pieces."

"I freestyled my outline, and I think it came out OK. I was able to use every color I had, which was great; but since I’m color-blind, I have no idea if it worked out or not."

"When legendary Cuba (one of the first writers in SF) stopped by, he couldn’t believe how bright the Ironlak colors are. I heard the same thing from just about everybody that came by that day. Ironlak is without question the best paint I’ve ever used. It’s super opaque, and dries really fast. Usually it’s hard to get yellows, oranges, and reds to cover black, but I had no problem with the Ironlak. So dope. Thanks, Luke! Feel free to send me some more!"
